PCPC INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The Philadelphia City Planning Commission (PCPC) offers a limited number of paid internship positions during the academic year and summer. Work-Study eligible graduate and upper-level undergraduate students assist professional planners with general research, data collection and analysis, mapping, community meetings, and report preparation. In some instances, unpaid internships for academic credit may be arranged.
Internship candidates should have a background in urban studies, geography, or the social sciences, and associated coursework in city and regional planning, public administration, urban design, landscape architecture, or other planning-related related fields. Weekday work hours are flexible, but a minimum of eight to twelve hours per week during the academic year, and twenty to thirty-five hours per week during the summer is preferred.
Contact your student employment/financial aid office to determine your eligibility for the Federal Work-Study Program.
To apply for an internship position, contact the PCPC via e-mail at gary.jastrzab@phila.gov.
