REUSE PLANNING FOR BRAC SITES
The Philadelphia City Planning Commission is the designated Local Redevelopment Authority (LRA) for guiding the reuse planning of two military facilities that have been declared surplus as part of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) round of 2005. These facilities are:
- Philadelphia Memorial US Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC)
2838-98 Woodhaven Road, Philadelphia, PA
- Germantown Veterans Memorial US Army Reserve Center (ARC)
5200 Wissahickon Avenue, Philadelphia, PA
As the LRA, the PCPC solicited Notices of Interest (NOI) for the reuse of these facilities. Six NOIs were judged complete and accepted by the PCPC by the October 27, 2006 deadline for receiving these documents. Click on the links below to view these NOIs.

Following a period of public outreach, the PCPC has 270 days in which to prepare plans for the reuse of the facilites, and to submit these plans to the US Department of Defense and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Click on the links below to view the PCPC reuse plan recommendations.
